The core principle of a smart meter is connectivity, and the CA368-G embodies this with its GSM connection to the back-end server system. As a next-generation, three-phase, four-wire prepayment watt-hour meter, it supports a maximum current of 100 amps per phase, making it ideal for light commercial and industrial prepayment applications. In addition to classic metering functions, this meter supports load profile recording across four channels at adjustable intervals. The payment mode can be seamlessly switched between prepayment and postpayment via commands from the back-end server.
Manufactured to ISO 9001 standards, the CA368-G is built to operate reliably in challenging indoor and outdoor environments. It features a wide operating voltage range (Un -40% to +20%) and robust RF immunity (30 V/m). The CA368-G series accurately measures both active and reactive energy. A standard 2400 bps baud rate optical port is included for data interrogation.
The CA368-G's GSM capabilities facilitate two-way communication with the back-end server via local point-to-point GSM/GPRS networks. This design simplifies and accelerates installation. Utilities or service providers can remotely read and collect metering data by scheduling tasks on the back-end server, thus eliminating the need for costly accessories that would otherwise go unused. Specific information can be displayed on the meter by entering designated info codes.
